Dasha and Mari … We are twin sisters, both photographers (and sometimes models when we realize self-portraits), we are still working together on our photographic projects.
Since our childhood we have always loved drawing -very creative when it came to painting, writing or making beautiful clothes for our dolls-. Photography is the medium that allows us to express ourselves rather than ink or watercolor.
There has long … We were around 16 years old when the photograph aroused our interest. We began to realize our ideas using a film camera. We found it very interesting to capture moments of life, magnificent images from our minds and our emotions … It was THE Photography.

It always takes much time to prepare what is necessary and organize shooting. We have got used to plan our sessions. The styling is an important part of our work, which is why we care about any element in the shooting.
Each detail has to be in the right place before the click of the camera. Our photography is not about quantity of frames we make during the shooting, this prevents editing after the fact, is not it? Quality and fine result only. We used to realize a certain photo- scene we kept in minds before: flood of our ideas … experiences, expectations, desires, and all these things that we show and tell without words …
We work with both types of camera (film and digital). As artists we admire in argentic -essential quality in our eyes- it is the depth, clarity and tonal range. Whether a film or digital camera, whatever, it all depends on the photographer's vision.
We prefer to work in natural light for our creations, but also artificial light if necessary.
In fact, we can’t really say that our photography has changed. Projects we made and going to realize reflect our perception to a woman and always filled with personal insight.
